THE FARMERS

Our quinoa is grown by farmers at an altitude of 3700 meters, through the climactical difficulties encountered in the Andean region. Farmers continue to use ancestral and communal methods of the Incas, including sustainable land management, use of agro-biodiversity and respect for Pachamama (Mother Earth).

What is quinoa?

Quinoa (kinwah) is a seed, scientifically known as Chenopodium Quinoa. Originated in the Andean region of South America, it’s known around 7000 years. It grows to a height of 3800 meters.

Origin of the Quinoa

In the South American kitchen the seed from the Andes, quinoa is already used since ages. About this subject there are several archaeological, literary and ethnographic proofs.
