Merquén is a spice used by Mapuche (ethnic group originating in Chile), elaborated from “cacho de cabra” pepper, and mixed with salt, coriander and cumin. It has a medium burning aftertaste, ideal to be used on meats, pasta, shellfish, and even in sweet preparations. This product is elaborated at its origin by a community from the South of our country and has received the award as the best in its category three times.
